Terroir Reviews published a write up of the “citrusy but ample” Gary Farrell Winery 2017 Russian River Selection Chardonnay. The piece provides winemaking details and an overview of the vineyards selected for this wine.
As for the wine itself? The writer describes that “the robe is solid yellow color and suffused a fragrance of citrus, honeydew, melon, wet rocks, and sage. Texturally it’s ample, but a candle of yellow acidity enlivens the mid palate. Its flavors skew toward lemon-pineapple but with a fresh grassiness that keeps it light. The wine slicks across the back of the tongue before blazing out in citrus.” Read the full review HERE
