On Saturday, October 5, Global James Bond Day, Fortune announced that Champagne Bollinger will be unveiling a new Bond-themed limited-edition bottle to celebrate the 25th film in the Bond franchise, No Time to Die. The new film, set to debut in April 2020, will be the 15th film that Bollinger will be featured in. Writer John Kell explains, “To mark a 40-year partnership between the brands, the famed Champagne house will soon start selling an exclusive Bollinger 007 Limited Edition, priced at $230 per bottle. It will also be the first time that Bollinger is releasing the 2011 vintage from the company’s wine cellars. The wine is sourced from a single grand cru vineyard in Aÿ-Champagne, France, and was vinified in oak barrels before being aged for seven years under cork.” The 2011 limited edition will be available for purchase beginning in November for the holiday season, with the release of a more limited collector’s item in 2020. Bollinger is one of the rare Grande Marques that’s still family owned. Known for its rich, elegant and polished style of Champagne, their outstanding wines are the result of rigorous attention to detail and incredibly labor-intensive practices that few houses are willing to undertake. Underscoring its excellence, Bollinger has remained British secret agent James Bond's Champagne of choice since 1973.
