About this video
We had the pleasure of speaking live with Matt Sutherland, second generation winemaker at Dog Point Vineyard, to see how he and his team are doing amidst the pandemic and to learn more about the 2020 harvest. If for nothing else, it is worth watching this interview to see the live cameo from Matt’s adorable son, Harry!
VINTUS’ Patrick Will spoke with Matt about the winery’s philosophy for producing hand-crafted, low intervention wines of astounding quality and complexity – not just in the context of New Zealand wines, but globally. They also took a deep dive into Sauvignon Blanc and the key differences between the Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and the barrel aged Section 94 Sauvignon Blanc. Of course, a large part of the conversation centered on the challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in the height of harvest season.
