“A wine dispenser wish list”

The Tennessean featured all three Guigal 2015 wines in wine columnist Steve Prati’s weekly print column. Steve provided a history of the Rhone Valley and also shared his top three recommendations from Guigal. He suggested the 2015 Cotes du Rhone Rouge, 2015 Saint-Joseph Rouge and 2015 Crozes-Hermitage Rouge which he described as “highly rated syrah-based.”

Crozes-Hermitage can be considered the gateway to the red and white wines of the Northern Rhône Valley. The reds, which are the majority of production, have wonderful warm flavors of red and black fruit, and typical Syrah pepper, spice and savory notes.

    Saint-Joseph

Saint-Joseph today is one of the most exciting appellations in the Rhone Valley, and dare we say all of France. The work by leading producers such as Guigal, energy from young growers, and recognition (really, re-discovery) of sites capable of making wines of extraordinary depth and complexity; of the same family as its famous neighbor in Hermitage, but with a distinct suppleness and elegance.
